"When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower."
My name is Meghan Magee and I have had the pleasure to work in a variety of roles in public education over the last 26 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I have taught 1st, 2nd and 5th grade, often co-teaching along side my special education experts to support struggling learners. I also hold a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum & Instruction (CSUS) and another in Educational Psychology (Chapman University) and an Administrative Credential.
I have worked as a School Psychologist in large, small, rural, and urban districts in preschool-age 22 programs. As an LEP, I love getting to assess students and learn more about each child first as a developing human and next as a unique compilation of learning strengths and weaknesses. It makes me happy to help a team, parent, and child better understand how a child learns and how we can shape and change instruction and the learning environment to support that child. I have also had the opportunity to counsel hundreds of students over the years and assist them in developing and implementing coping skills to help them be successful in school and life.
While my many credentials, specialized trainings, and diplomas have taught me a great deal of practical knowledge and skill—the most important things I have learned about students with disabilities has come from the students themselves and from their parents. My goal is to continue this work by helping connect the dots between assessment data and real-world, daily practices. I also believe strongly in preparing students for this present moment, while also building a bridge to a successful future where a student's strengths and talents can be the catalyst for connecting them to their best life. I hope you'll drop me an email or give me a call to see if I can be of assistance to you, your child/student, and your IEP Team.

Are you looking for a "second" opinion on your child's last assessment?
Are you seeking an experienced, neutral third-party assessor?
I'm here to help--IEE's provide families with a neutral, third-party assessment of the student that is legally compliant and answers the questions you've brought to the table. IEEs are provided at public expense and funded by the child's school district.

Are you a school district who's psych staff is overwhelmed with assessments?
I'm here to help---my full psycho-educational evaluations can be commissioned at parent's expense or overflow assessments can
be done when a school district does not have the staffing to cover their caseload.
Are you struggling to have your voice heard at the IEP table?
Are you concerned that you don't know the questions to ask to get the outcomes you want?
I'm here to help--I can assist you with reviewing your child's assessment results and explaining it in simple terms. I can also
help prepare you for IEP meetings so you know questions to ask and in some circumstances, will attend the IEP meeting to help facilitate specific actions.
